About the Event
Join Great Lakes Great Responsibility for a community-wide cleanup on Saturday, May 31.
Each year over 22 million pounds of trash enter the Great Lakes. Let's take action to prevent trash on land from becoming marine debris & microplastics.
CLEANUP DETAILS:
Let's divide and conquer. Choose a neighborhood, parking lot, or stretch of highway in the Alpena area. Clean that area up on May 31, then meet at Starlite Beach to share your trash count/weight and celebrate our collective impact.
Anyone & everyone is welcome! Be prepared to clean up trash with like minded individuals who are passionate keeping the Great Lakes clean. Get ready to laugh and have a great time!
